My Research
My ongoing topic of interest is to utilize natural language processing (NLP) techniques for an easy and convenient interface to biomedical databases. Since these databases are important sources of knowledge in biomedical society, database interface is an inevitable tool for the biologists to search for data needed during the researches. However, the search of target data often requires human labour with manual navigation across diverse databases. To enhance this hard process of data search, I focus on a query method to automatically combine the steps of database searches, by utilizing natural language queries (NLQs) that are easy and convenient means for data search. I am also interested in linguistic issue, such as ambiguity resolution, in order to interpret the NLQs accurately.
